2020 is the year of coronavirus. It was decided that it will be postponed to the -2023 championship.
In 2020, he promises to enter the history of world football for the deaf. But…
For the first time in 15 years of the Championship’s existence, it will probably be decided to postpone it to other dates. The peak of the coronavirus pandemic in the Old World is still far away — the number of cases continues to grow frighteningly. Almost all the leading national teams had football players or coaches sick, and the national championships were suspended. So there is no chance of holding the 2020 championship in June.
Postponing the 4th World Deaf Football Championships is 2023, but this postponement of the championship will hit everyone’s pocket less than unfinished national tournaments. That’s why the least evil is precisely the postponement of the -2023 Championship.
There is no doubt that the appropriate processing was carried out by the executive committee of DIFA together with ICSD, and the Malaysian Deaf Sports Federation has committed to hold the 4th Deaf Football Championships.
DIFA and ICSD thank the Deaf Sports Federation of Malaysia for taking over the hosting of the 4th World Deaf Football Championships.
We hope that in 2023 there will be a real World Deaf Football Championships for the deaf in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysiaю
