In a press statement, the DIFA Referees Committee noted that the new referee committee system will allow for faster and more accurate decisions and that deaf referees, rather than “robots”, will continue to be responsible for managing the game. Let me remind you that in 2024, DIFA introduced an independent refereeing system, which allows referees to make decisions.
The Refereeing Committee of the International Deaf Football Association (DIFA) has developed a quota for deaf referees who will be able to officiate at international matches in 2024-2027. The planned quota of judges has been increased from 10 to 20 people as well as female assistants.
