On 13. June 2023, Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) welcomes Ádám Kósa, President of the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf (ICSD) at the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Their discussions focused on the ICSD’s situation, development and financial consolidation progress, and the framework for future cooperation between the two organisations.
Thomas Bach welcomed the steps taken so far and expressed his hope that the process will result in the ICSD fully meeting international standards and that deaf sport will regain its rightful place in international sport.
On behalf of the ICSD, Ádám Kósa expressed his full cooperation in the process and thanked the IOC for its professional support so far.
