Preparing for the U21 Futsal World Cup

The opening of the multifunctional modern Sports Palace took place on July 6, 2019. By Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan (No. 802 dated November 27, 2020), the sports complex was named after the Olympic champion, world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, legendary athlete Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov. On September 8, 2021, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country’s Independence, a monument named in honor of the Martial Arts Palace was erected on the territory of the facility, which was opened at the intersection of Kabanbay Batyr Avenue and the Street of Khans Kerey and Zhanibek.

The sculpture of the monument to Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov is made of bronze, the pedestal is made of granite. Height – 7.5 meters. Its author was a sculptor from the capital Erbol Ziyabekov.

The palace building has a triangular shape, which symbolizes the soaring golden eagle, as a symbol of the power and freedom of Kazakhstan.

All gyms and grounds meet international standards and the requirements of international federations.

The main goal of building a new arena is to promote professional sports to the masses.

The infrastructure of the Martial Arts Palace includes:

• gym arena;

• Gym;

• martial arts halls;

• swimming pools;

• saunas;

• football field;

• adults and children’s locker rooms.

For the first time, Astana, Kazakhstan will host the beautiful sports hall world deaf futsal championship for boys under 21 years old.
