Inspection for the 2027 World Deaf Football Championship

Official Inspection in Australia for the 2027 World Deaf Football Championship

As part of the preparations for the 2027 World Deaf Football Championship, Iakov FRENKEL, President of DIFA, and Brice ALLAIN, ICSD & DIFA Football Director, will travel to Sydney, Australia, from February 8 to 15, 2025. This visit aims to inspect the sports facilities, accommodations, and hold meetings with key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Sports and the Football Federation of Australia, among others.

The championship, set to take place in Parramatta, is expected to host 12 women’s teams and between 16 to 20 men’s teams, depending on the number of confirmed participants. DIFA will make every effort to gather essential information regarding the event’s organization and execution.

DIFA extends its sincere gratitude to Mr. Brian SEYMOUR, Secretary of Deaf Football Australia (DFA), for his efforts in organizing and supporting the bid. Special thanks also go to Mr. Raymond YOUNAN, President of Deaf Football Australia, and Mr. Phil HARPER, President of the Australian Deaf Sports Federation, for their commitment to this project.

Pending final confirmation, the tournament is scheduled to begin on November 19, 2027, with Australia playing the opening match, followed by the official ceremony. The competition will then take place from November 20 to December 04, 2027.

DIFA looks forward to working closely with Australian authorities and sports organizations to ensure the success of this global event.
