U23 World Deaf Football Championship – Zlatibor, Serbia | May 11–23, 2026 ⚽️
As we enter the final year of preparation for the U23 World Deaf Football Championship, our collective focus turns to completing every detail for this prestigious event.
This championship will be a shining example of what can be achieved through unity and dedication. The Serbian Deaf Sports Federation, together with federal and regional government bodies, ministries, agencies, the Serbian Organizing Committee, and DIFA, are working hand in hand — forming a true symphony of collaboration.
We are preparing a magnificent event that will resonate with energy and pride. Next year promises to be even bigger, stronger, and more spectacular than ever before.
In September 2025, ICSD and DIFA Sporting Director Brice Allain, alongside the Chairman of the Serbian Organizing Committee, visited several stadiums and hotels in Zlatibor as part of the ongoing inspection process — which has accelerated significantly over the past months.
At this stage, we are confident in the readiness of the host regions to welcome the world’s best young deaf football players. The DIFA Executive Committee has also reviewed and approved a new, enhanced format for the 2026 edition, ensuring even greater competitiveness and excitement.
From May 11 to 23, 2026, Zlatibor will become the beating heart of deaf football. The city, well known for its hospitality, is ready to host thousands of guests. A new terminal at Belgrade Airport, Serbia’s main international hub, has also been inaugurated to facilitate travel for teams and fans.
“Serbia is a multicultural and multinational country — and this inclusive spirit lies at the heart of the U23 World Deaf Football Championship. We believe this event will have a truly positive impact on the lives of all players, coaches, and managers involved.”
We warmly invite all national teams to join us in Serbia and be part of this true celebration of deaf football.
See you in Zlatibor in May 2026! 🇷🇸⚽️
