We are honored to be one of the few Australian cities hosting the world’s premier football trophy. The trophy will be on public display in one of the city’s central venues. We are preparing an extensive interactive program. It will be a true celebration for all football fans.
When and where will the 2027 Deaf World Cup be held: dates, stages, and match locations in Australia.
This fall, one of the world’s premier sporting events, the 2027 Deaf World Cup (DIFA World Cup), will take place. For the first time, the World Cup will be held in Parramatta and Sydney, Australia.
The Deaf Football Federation of Australia and DIFA are releasing important information about the 2027 Deaf World Cup: when and in which cities the tournament will be held, which stadiums will host the matches, and how many national teams will participate.
🏟️Which stadiums in Australia will host the Deaf World Cup matches?
CommBank Stadium (originally known as Western Sydney Stadium) is a world-class, 30,000-seat rectangular stadium located in Parramatta, Sydney. Opened in April 2019 at a cost of $300 million, it is renowned for having the steepest grandstands in Australia, bringing fans incredibly close to the sporting action. The key features of the stadium are a major increase in corporate facilities, steep grandstands, integrated pedestrian and transport links, local landscaping, a premium field-level members club and a high-quality public address system.
🏟️Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre
The Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre was built as part of the Olympic Bid; the facility provides a 5,000 seat (2,500 under cover) elite athletics facility with additional seating on grassed embankments for 10,000.
🏟️Marconi Stadium (also known as the Palace) is a premier football stadium located in Bossley Park, Sydney, New South Wales, directly connected to the historic Club Marconi. Dedicated medium-sized soccer stadium featuring a high-quality main pitch which holds 9,000 spectators. Two synthetic training fields are located at the back of the stadium. Food & Entertainment: Being connected to Club Marconi, visitors have seamless access to Italian-inspired match-day food, including signature woodfired pizzas, coolest sandwiches, espresso coffee, and gelato.
Jubilee Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Carlton, a suburb of the St. George region of Sydney, the stadium holds 20,500 people and caters for 2,000 corporates seats.
🏟️Campbelltown Stadium With a 17,500-venue capacity, Campbelltown Sports Stadium hosts over 50 event days on an annual basis, attracting televised national and international sporting events including the Matilda’s in their Olympic Football Qualifiers, A–League Football, FFA Cup, Asian Champions League, Campbelltown Sports Stadium is a rectangular football stadium which has a reputation of having one of the best playing surfaces and drainage in the A – League competition. Campbelltown holds over 20 Corporate Boxes.
🏟️Fairfield Showground facility has been designed to allow high level sport to occur on site with a 3,000 plus seating plan, 500 lux field lighting, regional level playing surface, large change rooms.
The 2027 Deaf World Cup will be held for the fifth time and will last 15 days.
The stages of the 2027 World Cup will be as follows:
November 19 – Opening Match;
November 20-26 – Group Stage;
November 27-30 – Quarterfinals
December 1-4 – semifinals, third-place matches, and the final (men’s and women’s).
However, all matches will be available to watch in Australia.
